Tremendous stat on the Jags Forum recently. Since Resolution finally pulled their finger out and decided what their new name would be - Ignis - we've not won a game.

Seriously now. What's so special about it?

Haven't stopped laughing yet at the news Bobby Williamson, once strongly tipped for the Firhill hotseat, has lost his assistant boss at Uganda.

Sam Timbe quit his gig as Blobby's number two, to take over as boss of Rwandan champions Atraco. Apparently club management with the league champions of an inflation-blighted, divided, post-civil war nation is more attractive that working with Williamson.

I suspect we may have had a lucky escape...

To be fair to Airdrie United - both fans and team - clearly they wanted a slot in the Gaelic Bread cup final far more than our hapless bunch of wasters did.

Do I sound bitter? Possibly. But after sitting through one of the worst displays by a Thistle side I've endured in a decade and a half at the Theatre of Farce, it's hard to find any positives.

You know one of those weekends where everything that can go wrong, does?

I had one of those. About the only bright spot over the course of the two days was Thistle not getting beat. Although given how turgid a performance this was, that's bright in a relative sense.

Supporting Partick Thistle has become a worryingly expensive business this season.

It's not that the club has whacked up ticket prices, although the pies have gone up by a couple of pence.

No, it's that, for the first time in all the years I've suffered through being a Thistle supporter, we've finally got a merchandise line that actually looks good. No, scratch that, looks fantastic.
